The Master Upgrade course is a combined enrolment in our Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels course plus the three-day Upgrade to Master 100 Gross Tons course. The total course hours are 104.
6 Pack / Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) – U.S. Coast Guard (Domestic)
This 80 hour course is approved in lieu of examination for a U.S. license application for Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels.
Launch Operator – U.S. Coast Guard (Domestic)
This 16-hour course includes the required theory and examination requirements for approved training applying towards a U.S. license application as a Launch Tender (Limited Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels or Master of Self Propelled Vessels Engaged in Launch Tender Service Upon Inland Waters).
Launch Operator Lab – On the Water Training
Launch Operators are the first & last impression that members of your yacht club/marina experience…make it a great one. Refresh your current Launch Operators abilities or train new Launch Operators on safe & proper boat handling techniques on YOUR Launch, at YOUR facility with our staff of Professional USCG Licensed Boat Captains Safety, Courtesy, and Professionalism are the hallmarks of our training.
Assistance Towing – U.S. Coast Guard (Domestic)
This 4 hour course will prepare an applicant for an assistance towing endorsement. The student is required to pass a written examination demonstrating his or her knowledge of assistance towing safety, equipment, and procedures. An assistance towing endorsement on a license as master, mate, or operator authorizes the holder to engage in assistance towing on any vessel within the scope of the license.
One -on-One Tutoring – with a licensed USCG Instructor

Northeast Maritime Institute began in 1981 as a New England branch of the Tidewater School of Navigation based in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1995, Eric and Angela Dawicki assumed ownership and renamed it Northeast Maritime Institute (NMI).
